Som is a serial entrepreneur, bestselling author, motivational speaker and investor. Armed with a PhD degree in Economics, has served as the former Vice-Chairperson of NASSCOM Product Council, a core committee member of WEP – NITI Aayog and as a board member at Kotler Impact. She is at present the MD and Founder at Assiduus Global with offices in New York, Manila and Bangalore. She has formerly been the Founder and CEO of Unspun Group, one of India’s first ad-tech companies and the Founder of IRA – House of Designers, a crowd-sourced social impact multi-million-dollar fashion label. As a serial entrepreneur, Som has a strong focus on building, enabling & scaling brands across digital platforms and global E-commerce marketplaces in Nutraceutical, Health & Beauty, Fashion, Houseware & Kitchenware segments. Som is also a Global Mentor at Google Launchpad and a Mentor of Change at Atal Innovation Mission. She speaks at influential platforms, forums and events such as RISE conference, Economic Times Conclave, London Tech Week, TiE summit US and the like. Som is the author of bestselling book - Decoding Digital:Unlocking Digital Barriers that entails a detailed analysis of digital sciences, its impact on marketing and serves as a manual, a text for students and businesses. On a lighter note, Som plays the piano, trained Indian classical singer, amateur golfer, combat training and kickboxing enthusiast, a voracious reader and avid traveller. Som administers a not-for-profit organisation by the name Digital Leadership Institute that invests in the youth of India and empowers them with digital skills and leverages technology facilitating them to lead self-sustainable lives.
